Our reliable painter and decorator of some fifteen years recently retired.  Since then our only experience with a local decorating team was disastrous, hence we were apprehensive when asking Mr McGuire to decorate the outside of our four bedroom house.

What a breath of fresh air he has turned out to be!  Throughout the project he has shown qualities  so rarely seen nowadays as a person and in his quality workmanship.  We need look no further to find our replacement decorator and have no hesitation in recommending his services.

Reference for Abbey Wood Decorators – Paul McGuire

Paul McGuire painted the outside of our house completing the work on 10th July 2009.  The house was built in 1910 and has a great deal of wood which unfortunately we had left too long since the last decoration.  The condition of paint surfaces was very poor and needed a great deal of work.

I can not recommend Paul’s work enough.  The house looks amazing thanks to the time, care, professionalism and sheer hardwork that Paul put into the job.  Nothing is too much trouble for Paul and he is an absolute delight to have around for four weeks.  He was not even put off by two dogs and loads of teenage boys.  I would recommend Paul to anyone and will definitely be using his services again in the future.

To Whom it may concern

Paul McGuire from Abbeywood Decorators in Isleworth decorated and painted our property throughout July 2008.  Paul did a great job stripping the old wall paper, preparing, wall papering and painting walls, ceilings and all of the woodwork in our spare bedroom and hallway.  We initially thought that we would have to do some considerable plastering but Paul managed to expertly strip the wall saving this extra cost.

The job was completed as outlined in the estimate letter which has allowed us to complete our projects on time and to budget.  Throughout the job, we trusted Paul with access to our property, which Paul looked after and kept clean.

It was a pleasure to find a tradesman who really knows his craft inside out and who went over and above what we were expecting in terms of effort and expertise.  We are very happy with the quality of the job and are looking to get Abbeywood Decorators back to do some more work on the house in the New Year.

I have used Paul McGuire for the last 15 years to undertake various projects including working on my own houses, he has hand painted a complete hand made kitchen and has just completed a large decoration project at my current house, which included a loft extension, hall, stairs, 11 internal doors, 1 external door, landing, entrance hallway and WC.  At Easter he also completed a front room for us.  We have always been very happy with his work.
I have always found his work to be first class and he is always very clean and tidy.  His attention to detail is very precise and his work is always to a very high standard.

I Employed Paul to Re-Decorate my Lounge.  My colour choice was White Ceilings and Coving with Cream Walls.
Paul suggested I made a feature of the Fire Place Wall and suggested a  Deep Burgundy.  I was apprehensive at first as I always have pale colours but when it was done I was thrilled with it.
He suggested a border of Burgundy and Gold and in the alcove a paper with a cream and burgundy trellis pattern.  The finished room looks wonderful and I am so impressed with his workmanship that I am very happy to recommend him.
Paul is very skilled at what he does, his attention to detail is very precise the quality of his work is first class.
I was impressed with the amount of preparation he did before he started painting.

Paul gave a very detailed Estimate for the work, the only additional cost was the Border.  Paul was right the addition of Colour, Paper and Border has brought the room to life and given it some character as my curtains and chairs were cream it all looks wonderful.

The rest of the house looks very tired and I hope to employ Paul to R-Decorate the Hallway and Dinning Room in the near future.
